Teaching yoga, holding space for people to rest and offering energy healing, emotions are bound to come up in the sessions. This is because we can easily distract ourselves with being busy and every day life. When we come to a place of stillness and the body rests, the mind will stop looking outside, and we begin to move inside.
I have found that the more I can be with my own emotions, ok with whatever arises in the moment, the more comfortable I am with being with other's emotions.
The more space and deep care I can give to myself, the greater my capacity to hold space for others.
To tenderly take care of your heart, allows your heart to open to others. A sacred space in the sharing of humanness blooms.
The next Restorative Yoga training takes place at @circlestudioshamilton , in Hamilton, starting January 27th.

MAKING ROOM FOR SUMMER MAGIC.
One of the best moments of my life was camping for the first time in my life this past summer.
Being in silence, watching the sunrise, reading in the hammock and relaxing, bonding with awesome women, colouring in some questionable books (play), canoeing, rescuing 2 men, bonding with wildlife.
This trip fed my soul! Loved every moment, even being swarmed by mosquitoes at sunset. 😂
Thank you @agatakaminski and @sitting_pretty_pet_grooming for taking me and teaching me. Thank you @ingrid._.louise for the tent.

5 Small Everyday RITUALS to Invite More SPACE & STILLNESS
I chose these 5 that I found to be doable, giving you brief moments of spaciousness and silence. This is an activity we explore in my Restorative Yoga Teacher Training.
Start small. The more comfortable you become with silence, the more it will expand into the rest of your life (becoming an intimate friend).
There are so many more rituals we can do to add more space and stillness to our lives.
I have also written a new Blog or Journal: Are You Comfortable in Silence, in the Pause? (You can find it on my website, link in bio).

Maybe … some of us chose to be born on Earth to enjoy Mother Earth’s beauty (among other reasons). In other realms, the vibration is beautiful and high. But in the Earth realm, the diversity (of different frequencies) creates contrasting beauty that tantalizes the senses of being human, captures the heart, and awakens our awe of the manifestations of Energy/Source.
I’ve been fortunate to have travelled to many beautiful locations to bask in the beauty of different places and countries, like basking in different expressions and parts of Her. The energy always feels unique in each place yet within one globe.
I believe She senses when you acknowledge Her (and when we don’t, She teaches us to listen). Take off your shoes and feel Her. Truly look at Her expressions in the different textures in the leaves, bark, and flowers. When you label, debate about, or ignore Her, you’ve slipped into the mind, and the feeling/connection to Her essence decreases.
In our June Serenity Retreat, I shared making smoke bundles and moon water with beautiful plants. We connected with Mother, danced, did restorative yoga, learnt to see and listen to others while we were seen and heard (helping you see and listen to yourself, others and nature), sang around a campfire, enjoyed fantastic food from the bounty of Mother Earth, and listened to the stillness of the night.
She is interwoven in every cell of us. She’s present in the altars of our breath and heartbeat.
Our next @inye.yoga retreat at @harmonydawnretreat is July 28th. Link in my bio.
Thank you to @harmonydawnretreat for providing a quiet place to connect.
Thank you to @diana_lavad for sharing the gifts of your garden so we could make the smoke bundles and moon water.
Thank you to my Folk Herbalism teacher, @gaiahive_mentorships , whose teachings go far and wide through her students.

Honouring and aligning with the energies of the moon.
Last night was our Full Moon Cacao and Drumming Ceremony at @inye.yoga . As I was preparing the cacao in the morning a dove visited my home, and my dog and the dove kept staring at each other.
With Cacao opening and amplifying a vibrant heart, we sat in circle to be freely, authentically ourselves, and playful with the drumming. We ended in silence and meditation. Such a rich and powerful evening. After this event, I had a beautiful dream.
New Moons are a time for stillness and planting new seeds as the moon grows (my next New Moon Yoga Nidra will be July 17th). Full Moons are a time for creativity, playfullness and to offer something freely as the moon light decreases. We will announce the next event soon.
Thank you to my co-pilots @diana_lavad and Eddee (@inye.yoga ) for this event. And @rukuxulew for the cacao through my friend, @preetiunique .
Much gratitude to the Universe to be serving in the most authentic way.
