Purchase & Refund Policy

This policy outlines all purchases from our site and includes the returns and refund policy.

Payment for Products and Services

All purchases are processed in Canadian Dollars ($CAD). Most purchases do not include HST (Canadian taxes). If HST is included, it will be indicated.

Shanine Dennill (and affiliate companies, such as Rooted in Natura) is not responsible for any fees, charges, exchange rates, or additional charges levied by individual financial institutions or Credit Card companies.

Overview of refunds

ONLINE CONTENT

Online content (classes, courses, trainings, workshops, private sessions) are non-refundable due to the nature of the content being downloadable and/or live streamed.

All purchases are non-transferable. When classes, courses, workshops, and trainings are purchased under your name, they will remain under your account and cannot be transferred to another person. Nor can your password be shared with another person. The content took time, money, and energy to create, so we ask for you to honour this and remain ethical with the use of the content – that it is solely for your purposes. Content cannot be shared with other users (IP addresses can be tracked).

IN-PERSON CLASSES, PRIVATE/CORPORATE SESSIONS, WORKSHOPS, AND TRAININGS

Full refunds are available for in-person classes, workshops, and mini-retreats prior to 48 hours’ notice of start time (only partial refunds are available for corporate sessions). No refunds are available with less than 48 hours’ notice of start time. 3-day retreats need 2 weeks’ notice for a full refund. 

In-person sessions are transferable to another client with more than 48 hours’ notice.

Once a teacher training has begun, no refunds are available due to manuals and other confidential information provided. 

Purchases made through another party (an affiliate studio or event space) are subject to their terms and conditions and refund policy.

CERTIFICATION

In some courses and trainings, payment does not guarantee certification. Courses and trainings that require assignments and quizzes graded will receive certificates when completed and passed (these will be indicated in the course/training completion requirements).

PRODUCTS

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned:

  • Perishable goods such as teas, herbs, salves, tinctures, and other plant-based products
  • Gift cards
  • Sale items (only regular-priced items may be refunded)

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Books with obvious signs of use.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your account (as a credit), your credit card, or your original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted (it may take 3-10 business days to appear on your account).

Exchanges

There are no exchanges for online content. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected] (a physical address will be provided).

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you (as the recipient of the gift), you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be notified of your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, send an email to [email protected] to receive the address of where to send your product to.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
