SUMMARY:New Moon Yoga Nidra: Rest in the Altar of Your Heart
DESCRIPTION:Life can throw us many curveballs\, hardships\, and heartaches. We can tighten up\, close off (trying to protect our heart)\, become bitter and cynical\, and even begin to control our environment and others. This disconnects us from our own heart and others. But there’s another choice – to remain centred in love – to rest in the altar of your heart. \nThe more we rest in the altar of our heart and nurture our heart\, the more we enjoy life and see the beauty around us. Even in the heartache\, we learn to cherish the deep lessons that shape who we are and allow us to connect with others from a place of compassion and mutual understanding. \nIn this workshop\, we: \n\nSet a New Moon intention for keeping our hearts open\nExplore the science behind the energetic power of the heart centre\nCreate boundaries to care for your heart and life\nCreate daily rituals around gratitude and keeping the heart open (for self and others) during challenges\nEnjoy a Yoga Nidra practice to enter the cave of your heart\nAmplify self-love\, soothe the heart\, and feel embodied with a tea (damiana and lemon balm) – we will have this at the end of the workshop\n\n  \nAbout New Moon Yoga Nidra \nNighttime is a time to turn towards stillness. In this stillness\, we are closest to our truest essence. Add to this the powerful New Moon\, which is void of light in the night sky. Out of this void and emptiness\, all is birthed into Life. This is a great time to plant seeds of intentions at the start of a new lunar cycle. \nWe begin the session with a ritual to cleanse our space and honour the directions and elements. This practice is seen in many spiritual traditions. \nWe then move into a space of meditative self-inquiry (related to the New Moon in Scorpio and regarding Love and the Heart)\, revealing our seeds of intentions for the month. \nAs we rest in a Restorative yoga pose\, we are guided into Yoga Nidra. I share practices passed down through my teachers (from the Sri Vidya lineage – Himalayan Institute). We offer our intentions to the Goddess. \nYoga Nidra (commonly referred to as yogic sleep) is an ancient Tantric Yoga practice that helps reduce stress\, anxiety\, and insomnia. In ancient texts\, Yoga Nidra is a Goddess. \nIn this session\, I guide you to a place of relaxation where the thoughts begin to slow down. You’ll move into a deep state of stillness (moving through the koshas)\, where you are unconditionally supported and awaken a connection to the infinite or Source. \n  \nREGISTER HERE \nLEARN MORE \n
